The OC Justice Project was initially founded at University High School in Irvine, California. It was started with a simple goal in mind: to inspire our generation to care about the issues that are undermining the democratic ideals our justice system was intended to be founded upon.
Since January, we have expanded to eight high schools across Irvine and Tustin and are continually making efforts to broaden our base, engaging students from diverse backgrounds with unique experiences. The OC Justice Project is one of the first student-led organizations of its kind. Our specific focus on tackling the issues that are inherently steeped at the core of our justice system has become increasingly relevant with the resurgence of the Black Lives Matter movement, which has brought to light many of the injustices that have been taking place in our nation.
We are a group of passionate, determined individuals who all envision a better world; one in which "equal justice for all" is no longer just an idealistic saying but rather a factual statement.
